Their lives are absolutely disgusting, and I can not stand my little brother looking up to them! Everyone hear stories on TV and the radio about it everyday. They do drugs. They abuse their power. They have too much influence on their fans. Celebrities are not good role models.
Almost every time someone turns on their TV or radio, they hear a new story about a celebrity who got caught with a drug. I see it all of the time on M.T.V. Marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol is usually what teens see when a celebrity gets busted. Role models should not be doing these things because so many younger people idolize them. A role model to me lives a drug-free life.
Celebrities are known for abusing their power. They feel like they should receive some special rewards for being rich and famous. It is really disgusting how they have a lot of money, but they still expect free stuff. They want everyone to love them and respect them so they try making it seem like they do good by donating money to charity and helping people. Half of the celebrities who say they did work for charity did not do anything besides give money, which is not work.
Celebrities know how to have a lot of influence on their fans. When they first get famous they behave like good people. Younger people will like them because of that. When a young person idolizes someone they usually tend to do whatever the person they idolize does. So when a celebrity that has so many young fans gets busted for something like marijuana, their fans will think it is cool to smoke weed.
Parents need to get their children to idolize other people. Celebrities are not good role models unless parents want their kids to do drugs. We should divert kids’ attention to other things to get them away from their celebrity role models.
